Severity Modifier Tables

Assigning a G-code severity modifier (level of impairment) to a patient relies on clinical judgment. The table below can inform decision-making by providing detailed information about a Neuro-QoL score ranges associated with individual G-code severity modifiers.

Note: A higher Neuro-QoL T-score represents more of the concept being measured. For negatively-worded concepts like fatigue or pain interference, a T-score of 60 is one standard deviation worse than average. By comparison, a fatigue T-score of 40 is one standard deviation better than average. The reverse is true for positively worded concepts like physical function (i.e., higher scores indicate better function).
